Superb when spread on shortbread, scones and in thumb print cookies. Thin with a little brandy, rum or orange juice for a multi-purpose dessert sauce over pound cake, ice-cream or frozen yogurt. Makes a wonderful filling for layer cakes, and in quick breads and muffin batters. Mix with wine or sherry and add to pan in final minutes of cooking time for roasted or pan-fried poultry, pork and lamb. |

Positively brilliant on a cheese platter. Spread walnut halves with blue cheese and top with the pear for a healthy snack. Stir into plain yogurt or warm gently with a dash or two of cinnamon, and serve over vanilla ice cream. Serve on the side with roast loin of pork, pan-fried or char-grilled pork chops or warm with a little cream and pour over chicken breasts. Spread over baguette slices and sprinkle with chopped nuts; then top with goat cheese, and broil until bubbly. |

Mix with vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper for a delicious salad dressing. |
